Each year, The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) hosts a student competition: The Pitch. This global competition is designed to provide university students with real-world experience to support their first professional role in marketing. In teams of two or three, you are tasked with a real-life challenge set by a business – this year CIM has partnered with IBM.

If you are interested in taking part in The Pitch 2026, please complete the form to Register your Interest at your earliest convenience. (Please note: the form is for internal use only by the Management School – you will still need to complete the CIM registration by 1st December 2025).
The form will allow you to gain some additional support from SUMS to enter the competition. Liz Taylor, our Skills Development Adviser, will be available to help support you through the process. Liz is holding a drop-in session for students interested in entering The Pitch 2026, Tuesday 4th November 10.30 – 12 pm, at the SUMS Employability Hub.
