My path: from an International Student in Sheffield to a Business Specialist in the UK’s Banking Industry

This in-person event is to provide an informal and inspiring networking platform for international students, connecting them with successful international professionals who have navigated the challenges of securing and thriving in their current roles in the UK.

This event will feature two international graduates who have successfully become Business Specialists at a global bank. The event will begin with an introduction of their experience, focusing on their personal journeys, skill development, and career progression. This will be followed by an open Q&A and an informal networking session, allowing attendees to connect directly with the speakers and each other.

Our own International Employability Adviser will be on site to answer your questions too.

The speakers are:

Hattie Dungworth is from China and came to Sheffield nearly 2 decades ago as an International student. She is now working in the banking industry in the UK for over 6 years and would love to share her experience from being an International student to working for a Global bank.

Feroz Mohammad is from India and came to Sheffield in 2023 September fall as an international student. He completed his master’s in business administration (MBA) from University of Sheffield (Management School) in 2024. He has a total experience of 5 years and would love to share his experience about how he managed to get a job in the UK.
