We all deserve to be able to thrive at work. But how do you find work that ‘works’ for you, taking into account your strengths, preferences and individual needs (including ‘reasonable adjustments’ for a disability*, neurodivergence or health condition)?
In this session we’ll consider:
  • How to reflect on your strengths, values and preferences
  • Exploring your needs (including thinking about how Learning Support Plans can translate to the workplace)
  • Positive self marketing
  • How the Careers and Employability service can help now, and in the future
Please note:
This session is aimed at students and graduates who have a neurodivergence or disability (pre-diagnosis, diagnosed or self-diagnosed). You don’t need to be receiving support from the University’s Dyslexia and Disability Support Service to attend.
*The University supports the social model of disability, which acknowledges that impairments may not be disabling in themselves, but can become so in certain contexts.
All students are welcome to attend, including undergraduates in any year of study, taught postgraduates, postgraduate researchers and graduates.
